**The company**
Our client, NSW Ports, is a privately owned consortium of leading institutional investors. Their shareholders represent over six million Australian superannuation fund members and are long term investors with interests in a range of Australian infrastructure assets.
NSW Ports began operations in mid-2013 under a 99-year lease for Port Botany, Port Kembla, Cooks River Intermodal Terminal, and the Enfield Intermodal Logistics Centre. As custodian of these assets, they are committed to taking a long-term and sustainable approach to the way they operate. Port Botany and Port Kembla are economic assets of national significance, critical to the future economic growth and development of NSW. **The role**
In this newly created role, the Sustainability Coordinator will report directly to the Sustainability Manager. This role will be responsible for the data collection, analysis, and reporting on sustainability initiatives in line with the priorities and objectives of the NSW Ports Sustainability Strategy. This role is also responsible for providing support to the Corporate Affairs team in the administration of the NSW Ports Community Grants Program and Community Consultation forums.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Contribute to the collation, validation, analysis, and iterative improvements of ESG performance data and broader sustainability data reporting requirements.
- Coordinate responses to ESG queries from external stakeholders, such as consultants, investors, and financiers.
- Coordinate the compilation of the annual sustainability performance report and prepare written and visual content for presentations on sustainability for the Sustainability Manager.
- Contribute to the engagement and upskilling of internal and external stakeholders on sustainability principles as required.
- Coordinate the administration of the NSW Ports Community Grants Program with the Corporate Affairs team.
- Provide administrative support for the NSW Ports Community Consultation forums.
**About you**
You are a sustainability professional with experience in sustainability data collation, management, and reporting. You thrive working in a fast-paced environment, where you are required to roll up your sleeves and respond promptly to inbound inquiries from external stakeholders. Known for being collaborative and proactive, you are comfortable engaging with a wide range of people including Executives. You have a strong ability to manage your time effectively and prioritise what needs to be achieved to deliver success.
In addition, you will possess;
- Tertiary degree in Engineering, Science, Sustainability, or other relevant discipline
- 2 + years' experience working in a similar sustainability role.
- Experience working collaboratively across business divisions to achieve team outcomes.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience supporting the delivery of environmental sustainability projects, ideally including scope 3 emissions collation.
