Job Description:
The Senior Court Officer is responsible for providing high level customer service through efficiently resolving court user queries and accurately processing all documents and transactions lodged at the Court or produced in the Youth Court Care and Protection and Adoption jurisdiction. The Adelaide Youth Court is the only location in South Australia that hears Care and Protection proceedings, this role may be required to offer state-wide expert procedural advice regarding care and protection proceedings.
The Senior Court Officer is required to contribute to the overall office management within the Registry, including assisting in processing court and client enquiries.Special Conditions:
The following special conditions apply to this position:
* Appointment is under the Courts Administration Act, 1993. Terms and Conditions of employment are governed by the Public Sector Act 2009.
* Appointment is dependent upon a current National Police Certificate that the CAA finds satisfactory.
* This role is identified as a Prescribed Position and the successful applicant is required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to employment with the CAA, which must be renewed every five years before expiry. WWCC’s can be obtained through the Department of Human Services (DHS) Screening Unit.
* As a justice agency, the CAA may receive details of spent convictions as part of any Criminal History Screening and use this information in the selection process.
* Undertake work related intra or interstate travel, which may require driving a motor vehicle and overnight absences.
* Flexibility in working hours is required.
Remuneration:
ASO3 ($67,589 - $72,033 per annum)
