Position Description
The practice is seeking a General Practitioner with an Occupational Health interest to join their team in a brand new, modern, fully equipped practice in Mackay.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high‑quality occupational healthcare services to workers in keeping with best practice standards.
* Assess potential workers before they commence employment (verify medical history, conduct basic examinations, risk assessment and recommendations to the employer regarding suitability for the proposed role).
* Medically manage workplace injuries to ensure return‑to‑work outcomes are achieved effectively and efficiently.
Position Requirements
* Full unrestricted registration with AHPRA.
* Ideally Examining Medical Officer (Coal Board Medical) qualification or a willingness to complete this training.
* Medical indemnity insurance.
* Valid national police clearance.
