The role
The Mine Scheduler develops and optimises production schedules to support safe, efficient, and cost‐effective mining operations. You'll integrate production, maintenance, labour, contractor, and equipment requirements into clear and realistic plans that align with operational priorities.
Through strong analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement, you'll drive schedule adherence, productivity, and value creation while ensuring compliance with all safety, statutory, and environmental requirements.
Key responsibilities
* Leadership: Providing guidance in scheduling practices, supporting supervisors, and promoting accountability
* Systems Management: Developing and maintaining all mine schedules, ensuring accuracy, integration, and alignment with operational capacity
* Contractor Management: Coordinating contractor activities, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance
* Analysis & Reporting: Tracking performance, analysing variances, and supporting forecasting
* Safety & Compliance: Embedding safety and statutory requirements into all schedules
* Continuous Improvement: Identifying inefficiencies and implementing best‐practice scheduling methodologies
About you
You are an analytical, detail‐focused professional with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines. You thrive in a dynamic operational environment and bring a proactive, improvement‐driven mindset.
To be successful
* Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, Engineering, or equivalent experience
* Current C Class WA Driver's Licence
* Construction White Card
* Proficient in mine planning and scheduling software (e.g., Deswik, MineSched, or similar)
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills (Excel, Project, Power BI desirable)
* Working knowledge of Pronto, Aconex, INX, and HRIS platforms
* Understanding of Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022
* Minimum 2 years' experience in mine scheduling, planning, or production coordination
