We are Perth's premier Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. We pride ourselves on providing caring and supportive patient care by our long- standing high performance team. West Perth Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is seeking a passionate and dedicated Medical Secretary to join the small team.
Duties & responsibilities include:
* Administration and reception support
* Scheduling appointments for consults
* Liaising with patients, hospital staff, anaesthetists, supplier representative and referrers
* Patient invoicing & receipting (Medicare, DVA, Private Health Funds) and reconciliation
* Answering phones and patient enquiries
* Providing patients with surgical estimates, booking surgery and coordinating post-op appointments
* Creating and maintaining patient records in ‘Genie’ including linking referrals, X-rays, diagnostic reports and other related information to individual patients with a high level of accuracy
* Data entry for all patient consultations and collaborating with other secretaries, surgical assistants and support staff

About you:
* Minimum of 12 month's experience in a medical practice
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships

* Ability to anticipate surgeon's needs and plans ahead
* Positive and personable attitude with a willingness to learn
* Familiarity with a booking management system, preferably Genie
