Role
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a passionate mechanical designer to join our team located in Bendigo, Victoria.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing equipment models and designs based on provided engineering information. They will prepare detailed drawings to IFC level as required for manufacturing of equipment.
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work both within a team and autonomously.
Responsibilities
* Knowledge in and operation of CAD programs, most notably AutoCAD (2D) and Solidworks (3D), to provide equipment models and designs based on provided engineering information.
* Prepare detailed drawings to IFC level as required for manufacturing of equipment.
* Liaise directly with clients to define scope, secure projects, etc.
* Conduct detailed design and layout work ensuring completed works comply with relevant codes and standards.
* Ensure quality, safety, and environmental aspects are followed.
* Work closely with other departments to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
* Support the project team within your region.
Qualifications
* 1-2 years of design experience.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proactive approach and ability to work both within a team and autonomously.
* Excellent presentation skills.
* Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Project.
