St John NT is the Northern Territory’s leading provider of emergency medical response. Our mission is to save lives and build community resilience—improving safety and healthcare outcomes for all Territorians. We do this through a wide range of services, including ambulance operations under contract to the NT Government, emergency medical coordination, major event health coverage, nationally accredited first aid training, and community education.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a passionate Fundraising Officer to join our organisation for a 6-month fixed-term opportunity supporting our fundraising initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone who brings strong administrative capability, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to customer service. While previous fundraising experience is not essential, the position would be suited to someone who enjoys finding solutions and is willing to use their initiative to identify opportunities for fundraising.
In this role, you will:
* Monitor and respond to philanthropic Trust and Foundation calendars, including application processes, key deadlines, and acquittal requirements
* Coordinate the application of grants, including research, planning, development, and preparation of compelling, high-quality submissions in collaboration with relevant business units
* Assist in the creation, production, and distribution of donor communication materials and projects, such as direct mail, newsletters, and impact updates
* Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, sponsors, and funding bodies to increase awareness of St John NT programs
ABOUT YOU
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to take direction and develop a project or solution to meet organisational objectives.
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite.
* Ability to use, or willingness to learn, digital applications such as Canva, Mail Chimp, Survey Monkey and social media platforms.
* Willingness to evaluate, select and act on various methods and strategies for solving problems and meeting objectives before being asked or required to do so.
