About the role
The National Clinical Practice Coordinator supports the National Director of Clinical Education and Quality and plays a pivotal role in coordinating and facilitating clinical placements and professional practice experiences for all nursing students enrolled in ANMAC‐accredited programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinates and oversees clinical placements by working closely with academic staff and healthcare partners to ensure curriculum alignment, regulatory compliance, and high‐quality learning experiences.
* Serves as the central liaison for students, preceptors, and clinical sites.
* Delivers orientation and ongoing student support.
* Maintains accurate placement and compliance records; monitors placement quality and student progress.
* Contributes to continuous quality improvement in clinical education delivery.
* Develop and deliver course content, instructional materials and learning activities.
Qualifications, skills & experience
In addition to the requirements for the Academic Classification Level typically of a Level C that underpin this
* Postgraduate qualifications in Nursing, Midwifery or area of speciality.
* Current registration with AHPRA with no notations and/or restrictions.
* Minimum 5 years post registration in healthcare education, clinical coordinator or related field.
* Proven experience in the preceptorship/mentorship and supervision of nursing students/junior staff within a clinical setting.
* Expert knowledge of healthcare industry regulations, accreditation standards for nursing and midwifery education programs and clinical placement best practices.
* Experience with clinical database systems is desired.
* Sound knowledge of registered nurse practice standards, nursing education principles, clinical teaching methods, and student assessment techniques.
* Excellent organisational, time management skills.
