Your new role
* Develop and maintain shutdown cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts
* Monitor and control project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets
* Prepare and analyse cost reports, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions
* Collaborate with procurement and planning teams to validate cost data and commitments
* Ensure timely processing of invoices and cost allocations in compliance with company policies
* Provide accurate cost data for progress reporting and management reviews
* Support post-shutdown cost analysis and lessons learnt for continuous improvement
What you'll need to succeed
* Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline
* Minimum 5 years in cost control or project control within mining, oil & gas, or heavy industry (shutdown/turnaround experience preferred)
* Strong knowledge of cost management principles, budgeting, and forecasting
* Proficiency in cost control systems, MS Excel, and Project
* Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
* Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet strict deadlines
* Commitment to transparency and compliance
