Position Summary
We are seeking a Site Engineer (Water Treatment) to support the delivery, operation and optimisation of mobile and fixed water treatment systems across Australia.
Based in Sydney, this role is ideally suited to a Chemical Engineer with strong hands-on experience who enjoys working across both office and site environments.
The position involves regular travel to project sites nationwide, supporting installation, commissioning, operation and ongoing performance of treatment plants.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance and demobilisation of water treatment systems
• Manage project execution activities including site engineering, scheduling, cost estimation and progress tracking
• Supervise subcontractors and site-based personnel in line with safety and quality requirements
• Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and quality management systems
• Prepare technical documentation, operating procedures, commissioning reports and project close-out documentation
• Deliver operator training and provide ongoing technical support to clients and site teams
• Support optimisation and troubleshooting of water treatment processes to meet performance targets
• Liaise with internal engineering, laboratory and project delivery teams to support continuous improvement
Required Experience
• Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering (or a related discipline)
• 2–6+ years' experience in water or wastewater treatment operations, commissioning or project delivery
• Strong understanding of treatment processes including chemical dosing, clarification, filtration and sludge handling
• Hands-on, site-focused approach with the ability to work autonomously
• Willingness and flexibility to travel regularly to project sites across Australia
