Our Engineering Construction division is currently seeking an experienced NPI / Buildings Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of a major power station construction project in Queensland. This role will focus on the delivery of non-process infrastructure (NPI) and buildings scopes, including offices, workshops, warehouses, site facilities, and associated infrastructure supporting a large-scale resource development. The position will initially be based in our Brisbane office before transitioning to site on a 2:1 roster. With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team delivering complex, high value works across the resources sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Accountable for end-to-end delivery of the Buildings Package (Admin Building + Workshop/Warehouse) as a turnkey Design & Construct scope
* Lead delivery of the Buildings Package to achieve a fully operational, compliant and integrated facility, including all design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover activities
* Support planning, scheduling, procurement and execution activities across multiple project work fronts
* Review technical documentation, drawings and contractor deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements
* Manage Interface and Integration into overall Plant
* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams
* Monitor project progress, identify risks and support timely issue resolution
* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety, quality and environmental standards
* Provide technical support to site teams during construction and commissioning activities
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience in Project Engineering roles delivering NPI, buildings or infrastructure scopes within mining, resources or major infrastructure projects
* Strong understanding of buildings construction and multidisciplinary project delivery
* Experience in Design management, procurement, construction and commissioning
* Experience with construction planning, work packs, scheduling and progress reporting
* Strong communication and stakeholder management capability
* Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple project interfaces
* Commercial awareness including procurement, cost control and change management exposure
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering or related discipline
* Strong knowledge of National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards
* Valid right to work in Australia
