DESCRIPTION
Here at Amazon, we are currently seeking experienced Operations Shift Managers to join our team and play a critical role in leading associates within our Delivery Station at Mulgrave, Melbourne.
Do you have a passion for motivating, mentoring, and coaching a team? Do you pride yourself on maintaining high standards of safety, quality, attendance, and performance? As an Operations Manager, you will help ensure customer expectations are met by delivering orders on time and at the right location.
Key job responsibilities
Leading and developing a team of Amazon associates
Maintaining Health and Safety standards and fostering a safety culture on-site
Collaborating with support teams such as Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to meet business objectives
Proactively leading process improvement initiatives using Lean tools
Performing physical activities such as pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching with varying weights
A day in the life
You will be an inspiring leader in our Delivery Stations, working to improve delivery process efficiency, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective customer order deliveries. You will coordinate workflows and meet or exceed customer expectations.
Basic Qualifications
Experience in Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or related fields
Management experience with sizable teams, demonstrating motivation and relationship-building skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including conducting Dive Deep analysis on complex processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with performance metrics and process improvement
Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
Authorized to work in Australia without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or relevant Amazon experience
Ability to manage ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Experience with planning, performance metrics, process improvement, Lean, or Kaizen methodologies
