We are seeking to establish a pool of Business Support Officers for permanent and fixed term, full‑time and part‑time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Duncraig Senior High School (SHS) caters for students from Year 7 to Year 12 and provides a caring, engaging and supportive learning community, which fosters a culture of excellence to produce resilient, life‑long learners in a rapidly changing world. The Role

We are seeking self‑motivated applicants who can use their initiative, work independently and strive to excel to join our Corporate Services team. It is highly desirable that you have an attention to detail, can work with minimal supervision while effectively prioritising and meeting deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also highly desirable. We are seeking a pool of committed, innovative and high‑performing applicants.

Business Support Officers provide advice, coordination, training and support as part of the Duncraig SHS Corporate Services team. BSOs oversee individual portfolios which may include Facilities, Finance, HR, Marketing & Events, Workplace Learning and Communications & Executive Support. Supported by the School MCS, each BSO is expected to lead their portfolio across the School.

o Demonstrated considerable experience providing input and effective support to the development, management, implementation and monitoring of business operations, systems and plans.
o Demonstrated well developed financial management skills, including data analysis, interpretation and reporting, and the ability to provide recommendations.
o Demonstrated sound human resource management knowledge and skills, including the ability to provide effective support and input into the development, implementation and monitoring of human resource management systems and processes.
o Demonstrated strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
o Demonstrated sound conceptual, analytical and problem‑solving skills and the ability to identify appropriate solutions.
