We are seeking an experienced **Quality Manager** to join our advanced manufacturing site located in Port Melbourne in a full-time permanent capacity.
In this role you will lead and manage a team responsible for supporting all aspects of the Quality Management and Production System success. You have responsibility for defining and executing strategic plans for the assigned quality department, staffing and provide direction to functional quality personnel. This role will partner closely with business leaders and act as quality liaison with local management team.
**About the role**
- Lead, develop and motivate a diverse team within a cross functional workplace to achieve first time quality
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers and stakeholders at all levels across the business
- Execute business plans, policies, procedures and organizational strategies to achieve company priorities
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to a variety of audiences
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements with the ability to obtain a security clearance
**About you**
- Experienced in successfully leading a Quality Team within a manufacturing environment
- Relevant Tertiary qualification or equivalent technical demonstrated experience in a regulatory environment, AS9100 preferred
- Proven skills in root cause analysis and corrective / preventative action and auditing. Lean / Six Sigma trained and/or working knowledge. APQP trained and /or working knowledge
- Ability to effectively prioritise and time manage in a high pressure environment
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and influence others
This role will require the successful applicant to be able to have flexibility to work shifts when required.
