Job Title: Business Analyst – Cyber Security
Location: Brisbane, Australia
Contract Type: 12-month contract.

About the role:
As a key member of the team, you will be providing cyber security leadership, governance, policy and standards, advocacy, capability development, security incident co-ordination as well as managing several security services.
This role involves evaluating, analysing, and enhancing cybersecurity practices within IT and OT environments to align with industry standards and business objectives. The ideal candidate will excel in documenting business processes, identifying security risks, and engaging with stakeholders.
Must have experience include:
- 5+ years' experience leading and performing Senior Business Analyst activities, preferably for Queensland Government or other legislative or regulatory context
- Experience capturing and analysing 'As-Is' and 'To-Be' business process models, as well as documenting business and digital infrastructure requirements.
- Adept at gathering and interpreting information from multiple sources, extracting significant findings and providing impartial advice.
- Knowledgeable in applying business analysis techniques, methodologies, and tools, ideally aligned with BABOK Version 3.0.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team, build effective relationships with stakeholders, and mentor other business analysts.
- Engage with various stakeholders, including process owners, and subject matter experts, to gather input, requirements, and feedback throughout the analysis and redesign process to support both strategic and tactical business outcomes.
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
The following experience will be highly regarded:
- Experience working in Government environments or providing services to Government agencies.
- Experience in leading Cyber Security initiatives including Security Operations Centre establishment, Supply Chain Risk Management, OT & IoT and other Cyber Security Uplift initiatives, within large-scale and/or complex enterprise environments.
- Experience with Gateway infrastructure, Privileged Identity Management and/or Cloud Security.
- Familiarity with public sector cybersecurity frameworks, such as the ACSC Essential Eight, ISM, or international standards (e.g., NIST CSF) and frameworks (e.g. SOC-CMM, MITRE ATTACK).
Qualifications and/or conditions
- Eligibility for, and willingness to undergo and maintain, a Baseline or NV1 National Security Clearance, as required.
