* Temporary – 2 years, Full-time
* Multiple vacancies
* Close to Wynyard station & hybrid work arrangements available

About the role

The Curriculum Officer, VET provides curriculum and assessment expertise, advice and support for the implementation and monitoring of vocational education and training (VET) curriculum and manages curriculum activities and projects in accordance with Division priorities and processes.

On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:

* providing VET and vocational education expertise and advice to support the development and implementation of VET curriculum and vocational education for secondary students in NSW
* undertaking curriculum activities and projects in accordance with Division strategic and operational plans and processes
* developing material to support implementation of VET syllabuses
* monitoring, maintenance and/or development of VET curriculum as they relate to the cyclical review of syllabuses and endorsement of courses.

Our ideal candidate will have:

* extensive working knowledge and understanding of current legislation, policy, research, practices and issues relating to vocational education, curriculum and assessment
* expertise in development and implementation of VET curriculum for secondary students
* experience undertaking curriculum activities and projects in the context of a variety of views, opinions and at times, competing expectations
* great communication skills to engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
* experience delivering outcomes relating to curriculum activities and projects with competing priorities in an intensive work environment.

Essential Requirements:

* tertiary qualifications in education in a relevant discipline
* a current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance for paid employment(prior to commencement, not required at the application stage).
