How You'll Help Us Grow
We are looking for a collaborative and team‑oriented Maintenance Fitter to perform predictive, preventive, corrective and proactive maintenance on equipment across our plant.
* Ensure required work has appropriate Permit to Work (PTW), Job Safety & Environmental Analysis (JSEA), Take 5, Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) and Management of Change (MOC).
* Perform duties and work assigned on daily schedule to a high standard in 5S, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
* Work will include machining, piping / equipment installation, preparation of pressure vessels and heat exchangers for maintenance and repairs, centrifugal and air‑diaphragm pump overhauls, dry‑break coupling overhauls, mechanical seal overhauls, valve/gearbox overhauls, pump alignment, PVC piping.
* Take ownership of workload and communicate with supervisor to complete maintenance jobs ensuring efficient use of resources.
* Contribute to a culture of continual improvement by participating / practicing 5S, toolbox meetings or investigations to improve equipment reliability.
* Maintain records of equipment spares and repairs using Maintenance software.
* Prepare pre‑work pack before commencing work (scoping, JSEA preparation, job checklists, etc.) to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
* Ensure workshops are kept to a high standard of housekeeping and perform 5S audits.
Could This Be You?
You're a qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitter / Machinist with demonstrated experience with maintenance teams in the chemical industry or similar (DG Goods / Schedule 14). You are a problem solver who commits to continuous improvement whilst being safety conscious and are well versed in appropriate safety standards.
* Qualified Mechanical Fitter / Machinist.
* Experience in maintenance teams in the chemical industry or similar (DG Goods / Schedule 14).
* Problem‑solving skills and commitment to continuous improvement.
* Safety conscious with a good knowledge of safety standards.
* Confined Space Entry ticket (willingness to obtain training).
* Forklift operator licence desirable but not mandatory.
