Duties
It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Release Lead Specialist you will:
FINEOS – Enterprise Release Stream Lead:
• Coordinate the release of FINEOS enhancements, defect fixes and changes into production through the Enterprise Release (ER) framework.
• Act as the FINEOS stream lead within the icare Enterprise Release (ER) framework, serving as the primary coordination point between the hybrid icare/vendor delivery team and Enterprise Release governance.
• Work closely with Scrum Master, Business Technology Owner, Dev & Test teams to ensure scope is refined, tracked in Jira, correctly tagged and aligned to ER requirements.
• Provide delivery visibility into ER forums, including scope status, risks, readiness, cross-stream dependencies and timeline impacts.
• Ensure FINEOS stream compliance with Enterprise Release milestones and governance artefacts.
• Manage cross-system risks & dependencies for FINEOS releases.
• Support Dress Rehearsal and production go-live readiness.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of Enterprise Release processes and stream readiness practices
Navigator – Release Lead:
• Own the end-to-end monthly Navigator release cycle of Change Initiatives & bugfixes -prioritised by Continuous Improvement (CI), business and project teams.
• Facilitate release planning sessions, review Jira scope, track progress, identify blockers and monitor UAT / PROD readiness.
• Manage Jira stories for change initiatives or bugfixes, refining and clarifying requirements and acceptance criteria where required to progress initiatives through delivery.
• Oversee progression of changes across DEV, SIT, UAT and Production environments & execute technical deployments across environments where required.
• Create detailed implementation run sheets for Dress Rehearsal and Production deployments, including rollback planning, stakeholder communications and test planning.
• Represent Navigator production changes at CAB, ensuring compliance with change governance processes and securing approvals.
• Issue stakeholder communications relating to outages, deployment windows and go-live activities.
Various - Technical Specialist:
• Exposure and understanding of SQL Server and Database administration
• Provide support and guide delivery teams on established standards and processes.
• Provide support on high level estimates for new initiatives.
• Participate in the application development function including in-house development and external vendor-based development.
• Support and deliver a range of technical tasks including initiatives, enhancements, and upgrades to ensure efficient and effective change and delivery.
• Provide support and guidance to internal and external teams and partners to ensure effective delivery of technical and business outcomes
Skills & Experience (Essential)
* Experience with technical release deployments
* Experience in a similar role leading release
* Extensive stakeholder management experience
Skills & Experience (Desirable)
* Existing exposure to the front end of FINEOS
* A solid technical understanding of FINEOS/Navigator
