Position: Chefs and Cooks
The Esplanade Hotel, built in 1898, is a well‑established family‑run business in the heart of Busselton. The hotel operates 7 days a week, serving lunch, dinner and functions with a recently renovated kitchen and updated bar and bistro area.
Qualifications:
* Qualified and experienced Chefs and Cooks with a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (minimum)
* At least 3 years' experience working in a busy restaurant
Responsibilities:
* Delegating tasks to kitchen staff.
* Informing wait staff about daily specials.
* Ensuring appealing plate presentation.
* Checking freshness of food and discarding out‑of‑date items.
* Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
* Assisting the Head Chef in estimating food consumption.
* Training kitchen staff to effectively manage costs, maintaining the recipe standards and cooking/preparation procedures.
* Maximising the productivity of the staff while supporting them to improve their skill sets.
