A progressive and expanding logistics company that prides on consistently producing a very high level of service; planning and executing the complete logístical movement of capital equipment (internationally and nationally) throughout Australia. Located within the Perth Airport precinct as an Australian Border Force licenced 77G Customs Depot and Regulated Air Cargo Agent, they are now seeking an experienced Airfreight Warehousing and Operations Supervisor to lead our Airfreight operations team.
**Your new role**
Working on a rotating roster with a small and friendly team, you will contribute to the continued success of the business by:
- Supervising the loading and unloading of customers trucks - Material Handling
- Cargo Collection or Delivery to Airport Cargo Terminal Operators - via <8tn Truck
- Monitoring import / export booking advice and registering jobs in SCLA Logistics system
- ID freight on receipt, photograph, check weight, dims and update details on receivable sheet
- Confirming weight/dims to client
- Security screening export cargo via X-Ray / Explosives Trace Detection apparatus
- Labelling cleared cargo and issuance security declaration
- Balancing cleared export cargo booking sheets
- Load and deliver cleared export cargo to CTO for uplift
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience and understanding of Australian Border Force customs depot licence conditions
- Leadership qualities to supervise the team in a small but busy warehouse
- Intense focus on safety and compliance with current WHSE legislation
- Valid forklift licence
- Valid MR (Manual) Driver Licence (HR desirable)
- Basic Computer Literacy Skills
- ASIC cardholder Or Qualified To Obtain (Police check required)
- Flexibility to do what it takes to get the job done and meet tight schedules; some weekend and after-hours work may be required
