Residential Care - Youth Support Worker (ITC) Part-time and Casual

Overview
You will be one of the most influential people in your clients’ lives.
The role involves direct care for clients in settings such as houses, schools, hospitals, community centres and emergency accommodation.
This position is part-time and casual, with locations including Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Hunter and Central Coast.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with the people you are caring for.
- Provide around-the-clock care to participants, following a structured routine developed for their needs.
- Administer medications as required.
- Transport clients to and from school, day programs and appointments.
- Assist in the implementation of programs designed for client development.
- Prepare and maintain report documentation as required.

Qualifications – Essential Criteria
- Current Working with Children Check (paid employment) – application details available via NSW service portal.
- Current NDIS Worker Check (NSW).
- Current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid; HLTAID011).
- National Police Check (via the Employment Screening process).
- Current driver’s licence (minimum P2) and a vehicle capable of transporting 4+ people.
- Comprehensive car insurance.
- Certificate of Completion: NDIS Worker Orientation Module (NDIS).
- Ability to work a 7-day shift roster.
- Willingness to participate in pre-employment medical checks.
- Two qualified references.
Desirable Qualifications
- Diploma of Community Services
- Bachelor of Human Services
- Diploma or higher in a relevant field
