About the Role
Due to continued business growth, we are seeking a qualified Engineering Technologist to join our Adelaide office in Payneham, South Australia.
The role supports the technical development, evaluation and implementation of commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and energy efficiency solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyse, evaluate, modify and apply solar photovoltaic (PV) and electrical engineering technologies in the design, testing and implementation of commercial solar projects
• Assist in the development, evaluation and optimisation of engineering designs, system layouts and technical specifications
• Apply established engineering technologies and methods to improve system efficiency, reliability and performance
• Research and recommend new solar photovoltaic (PV) and electrical engineering technologies to support commercial solar engineering activities
• Conduct technical analysis, system testing and performance evaluations to assess engineering outcomes
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and construction professionals to develop and implement compliant engineering solutions
• Perform site inspections and technical assessments to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and safety regulations
• Prepare technical documentation, engineering reports and compliance records
Requirements
• Bachelor degree in Engineering Technology or a closely related field
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in engineering technology or closely related engineering roles
• Experience in solar, renewable energy or electrical engineering projects would be advantageous
• Sound knowledge of electrical design principles
• Understanding of Australian Standards and regulatory compliance requirements
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
