Trainee Road Labourer and Roller Driver Opportunity
Looking for a chance to kickstart your career in civil construction, we're seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Trainee Road Labourers and Trainee Roller Drivers.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn the trade from experienced supervisors and gain real industry skills in road construction and heavy vehicle operations.
* As a Trainee Road Labourer, you will work alongside experienced supervisors to learn bitumen sealing from the ground up.
* Training in roller operations is also available, with opportunities to progress.
* You will assist with machine care and maintenance, ensuring equipment is kept in top condition.
* Completing times, daily dockets and plant checks accurately each day is also part of the role.
* Supporting the team with general administration and record keeping is also required.
* Travel across the South West and Great Southern regions is involved, with some overnight stays required.
* Being energetic, positive, and ready to take on challenges is essential.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including early starts and long days, is also necessary.
* Strong communication skills and commitment to safety standards are a must.
* Having mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn is also beneficial.
* Being physically fit and able to pass a pre-employment medical, drug, and alcohol screen is required.
Required Qualifications and Skills
* White Card
* Current Driver's Licence (minimum C with willingness to upgrade to HR for roller operations)
* National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
* Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
* Be part of a supportive, hands-on team where training and career progression are encouraged
