Meet the Team

You will be part of the Cisco Service Provider EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa) Team, serving as pre-sales technical resources for a key service provider (SP) account. We collaborate with customers, system engineers, account managers, and delivery teams based in the US to develop architectures and cross-domain designs (SDWAN, Security, Data Center, Automation, Optical, and SP routing/switching technologies). We act as trusted advisors, helping to architect network solutions while identifying business opportunities alongside account managers.


Your Impact

The Solutions Engineer (SE) role is a highly skilled, customer-focused technical sales professional providing in-depth technical information and mentorship on design and implementation for a dedicated customer. SEs offer an advanced architectural perspective across Cisco's product portfolio, demonstrating broad knowledge and technical specialization as needed. They collaborate with the sales ecosystem on strategic opportunities by coordinating resources like consulting specialists and demo labs to develop and propose customer solutions. SEs act as trusted technical advisors, helping to identify Cisco solution opportunities aligned with the customer's business goals.

As a Solutions Engineer, you will serve as a trusted advisor for a large Service Provider account and its affiliates. Your role involves positioning Cisco solutions, aligning them with customer needs, and building an architectural vision that delivers tangible outcomes. Your mission is to ensure high customer satisfaction by working with Cisco teams and the customer to meet deployment expectations. You will continuously update your knowledge on the latest technologies to bring innovation and support your customer's digital transformation journey.

Minimum Qualifications

* 5+ years of proven technical sales experience in Systems, Network, or Security Engineering
* 3+ years of IT operations experience in a large enterprise environment
* 3+ years of experience building technical presentations and demonstrations for technical and business audiences


Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent
* Cisco certification or relevant certifications from other reputable organizations
* Experience working with internationally distributed teams
* Experience engaging with C-level partners
* Sophisticated technical knowledge in Networking (LAN/WAN/WLAN), Security, Data Center (Virtualization, compute, storage), and automation technologies
* In-depth knowledge in areas such as Mobile Wireless, Cisco Mobility solutions, 4G/5G technologies, Cisco Data Center solutions, and emerging technologies
