Permanent position in Tom Price, Pilbara. Expressions of interest for a medical practitioner to join and support the medical team in the Pilbara region.
Tom Price is located 1450km from Perth with a population of around 3,094. Town facilities include a supermarket, bank, medical centre, hospital, fuel outlet, library, primary schools, secondary school, Pilbara Institute (TAFE), café, restaurants, golf club, motels and a caravan park. The town offers outdoor facilities and is gateway to Karijini National Park, serviced by Paraburdoo Airport. Medical services are supplied to the local First Nations community twice monthly, with multiple daily flights between Perth and Paraburdoo via Qantas.
The Practice
The practice promotes comprehensive and thoughtful medical care for the whole family. Dedicated to providing high quality care to the local communities within Tom Price, Paraburdoo and surrounding areas.
As a doctor in this town, you will be able to work in the GP clinic with the support of the district hospital and our roster of GP ED VMO's. The general practice is open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm and a Saturday morning clinic on a rotating roster.
The clinics provide a range of services, including:
* Diagnosis and treatment of short term and chronic illness
* Minor operative procedures including implanon
* Travel advice and immunisations
* Men's and women's health
* Skin cancer checks and treatment
* Occupational medicine and pre-employment medicals
* Childhood vaccinations
* Obstetric care
* Pathology and radiology services available at the Hospital
* Supported by RFDS and Emergency Telehealth Services WACHS
* Allied services can be coordinated through our excellent team of Nursing staff and practice support staff
The Requirements
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a medical practitioner in Australia with AHPRA (Visa Sponsorship available for a doctor on a GP training pathway)
