Client and Job: You’ll be working with a leading engineering and manufacturing business to support machinery upgrades, plant improvements, and capital projects. This is a varied role across project delivery, planning, electrical design, testing, installation, commissioning, and occasional PLC programming. It will suit someone practical who can work with engineers, electricians, maintenance, production, and suppliers to get projects delivered properly. What you will be doing: Electrical design, drafting, commissioning support, and project delivery for plant upgrades, new equipment installs, and machine modifications. Working across mainly LV industrial electrical systems, with some MV / 11kV exposure depending on the project. Supporting electrical machine upgrades and new capital projects across a busy manufacturing site. Creating and updating electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and panel layouts. Strong focus and attention to Lean principles and Continuous Improvement. Helping reverse engineer machinery and equipment drawings where documentation is missing or out of date. Supporting testing, commissioning, fault finding, and handover documentation. Working closely with electrical engineers, project managers, electricians, maintenance, production, and suppliers. Exposure to 11kV, transformers, HV switchgear, or substations would be a big advantage. What we are looking for: A Degree in Electrical, Automation Engineering, or similar. Experience across electrical engineering, automation, controls, and industrial electrical design. At least 5 years of experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical CAD software. 5 years of experience working across LV industrial systems, switchboards, MCCs, VSDs, motors, control panels, and instrumentation. Exposure to 11kV, transformers, HV switchgear, or substations would be a strong advantage. Excellent communication skills, practical approach, and able to work with trades and engineers.
