About the Role: We are seeking a Casual Pathology Collector to join our team. As a Casual Pathology Collector, you will be responsible for collecting, caring, storing, packaging and labelling pathology specimens, providing a high-quality pathology service to requesting doctors and patients, and greeting patients in a friendly and courteous manner.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Collecting the required specimen(s), place in suitably labelled containers, fix laboratory number stickers, store and transport appropriately
* Couriering specimens/reports from the collection location to the required destination if required
* Referring Doctor/s information
* Collection of category and billing information
* Explaining procedures to patient and providing written instructions as appropriate
What You Need:
* Certificate 3 or 4 in Pathology Collection
* Experience in a Pathology collection service is highly desirable
* Highly developed customer service and communication skills (both verbal and written)
