We're seeking a Practice Lead to join our Service Enhancement Team – someone who's passionate about improving mental health service delivery and championing contemporary, recovery-oriented practice across our organisation.
This is your opportunity to lead, influence and uplift mental health practice across Richmind WA.
What's the role about?
As Practice Lead, you'll drive service excellence by embedding evidence-based, trauma-informed and recovery-focused practice across our residential and community programs.
Working closely with the Senior Manager, Service Enhancement, and the broader leadership team, you'll lead organisation-wide initiatives that promote practice consistency, build capability, and support staff to work in partnership with consumers and families.
You'll also directly supervise and support a team of Lived Experience Facilitators and collaborate with other subject matter experts to design and deliver engaging, meaningful training.
This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on influence, and requires someone with strong interpersonal skills, deep practice knowledge, and a passion for systems change.
What you'll be doing
* Champion recovery-oriented, person-centred practice across all service areas.
* Lead the design, delivery and evaluation of training in Recovery-Oriented and Trauma-Informed Practice.
* Provide coaching, reflective practice, and group supervision to frontline staff, supporting skill uplift and confidence.
* Support the implementation of a high-quality supervision framework across teams.
* Actively contribute to practice improvement initiatives, service co-design and care consultations.
* Supervise, mentor and support Lived Experience Facilitators, helping embed lived experience perspectives in service development.
* Collaborate across teams and projects to strengthen practice consistency and promote a learning culture.
What you'll bring to the team
* A tertiary qualification in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, or other Allied Health relevant roles.
* Experience in clinical and practice supervision (one on one and groups)
* Good understanding of principles of lived experience as this role will be responsible for the line management of lived experience facilitators
* Significant experience in Recovery and Trauma-Informed Care within mental health settings.
* Strong facilitation skills and experience delivering group supervision and training programs.
* Understanding of human design and co-design principles, with the ability to engage meaningfully with consumers, families and stakeholders is desirable
* High-level communication skills – both written and verbal – with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
* Demonstrated ability to drive change, support practice improvement, and balance strategy with operational delivery.
* Understanding of best practice Mental Health Care
* A passion for people, purpose and professional development.
Other Requirements
* Current National Police Clearance Certificate (no older than six months)
* A valid First Aid and CPR Certificate (HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid, HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support, HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
* A current working with Children Check
* A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
* A valid Driver's licence
This role is full-time working Monday to Friday based out of our office in Cannington. The role also involves regular travel to the Southwest, Great Southern, and Pilbara regions.
