Position Summary
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for daily service support of existing customer base in Perth and, when required, assist in the rest of Australia. The Field Service Engineer will support sales growth, service growth and customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Service Supervisor ANZ and is part of the ANZ Beckman Coulter Life Sciences Service team. It is a remote position, based in Perth, Western Australia.
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
* Customer Satisfaction. Increased throughput, decreased downtime, regular Preventive Maintenance, regular upgrades. Drives a sense of urgency to ensure customer needs are addressed promptly with an emphasis on a "first time fix"
* Understands customer perception and the associated business impacts, and is commercially capable of resolving customer issues in a rapid fashion
* Call Closure – Using our computerised system, the engineer is responsible for closing service calls at time of completion leading to accurate reporting and inventory updates
* Managing trainings and re-certifications for ISO audits
* Attainment of revenue goal by individuals and their district and Value Selling. This includes annual growth of Maintenance Agreements monthly base billing and the support of sales initiatives through lead generation & partner with sales to support current sales initiatives to drive growth
* Manage on-hand car boot stock inventories & Monitor and track the on-hand inventory to achieve zero discrepancies and maintain excess stocks to below $2k
The Essential Requirements For The Job Include
* Degree or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Biomedical
* At least 3 years of prior field service experience in related field is preferred with knowledge of Flow Cytometry, Liquid Handlers and Centrifugation
* Strong deductive reasoning and problem‐solving skills
* Excellent follow‐up skills to ensure we exceed customer expectations, and close all outstanding issues
* Excellent communicator and a team player
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
* Ability to travel 80% across Perth and WA, and 20% overnight across other regions in ANZ as needed, particularly during the initial training period.
* Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
* Highly computer literate (especially in Microsoft Office product range)
* Managing Call Escalations ability to identify, own and track any issues with an account, according to call escalation procedure, to reach resolution.
* Work well under a fast-paced environment
