We're seeking a dedicated Hazmat Field Technician
This full-time Hazmat Field Technician position is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Environmental Health Solutions' offices in Newtown and Richmond, VIC. As a Hazmat Technician, you will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and safely handling hazardous materials, ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the local community.
What you'll be doing
* Conduct asbestos and hazardous materials surveys, risk assessments, and air monitoring.
* Collect and analyse samples in accordance with industry and regulatory standards.
* Prepare detailed technical reports and provide expert advice to clients.
* Ensure projects comply with OHS regulations, EPA Victoria, and WorkSafe requirements.
* Collaborate with the team to deliver quality outcomes across residential, commercial, and industrial sites
What we're looking for
* Knoweldge of building materials, hazardous materials and construction industry
* Understanding of hazardous materials classifications, handling, and disposal procedures
* Proficient in the use of monitoring equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE)
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with employees and stakeholders
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
