Job Opportunity: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Art History
We are seeking an exceptional individual to contribute to teaching, research, and service within a dynamic academic environment.
As part of the School of Communication and Arts, you will join an interdisciplinary team delivering an innovative curriculum focused on Western thought. Your primary role will be to deliver and coordinate art-historical content within the program.
* Teaching: Develop and deliver courses, engage in curriculum design, coordinate courses, assess students, provide academic counseling, and adhere to university rules.
* Research: Establish a research program, collaborate on projects, seek and manage funding, publish in reputable journals, utilize best practice methodologies, and participate in project discussions.
* Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise students, recruit and manage employees, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, and ensure correct remuneration and benefits.
* Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.
Requirements:
* PhD in a relevant field in the history of art and architecture.
* A growing profile or established profile in teaching with evidence of high-quality university teaching at different levels.
* Ability to lead/coordinate courses and contribute to curricula development and innovation.
* Experience supervising students to completion.
* Developing or sustained track record of publication and ability to conceive and execute a research agenda.
* Evidence of seeking or obtaining external research funding as appropriate.
* Experience in internal service roles and contributions of professional expertise that complements the School.
