FARM HAND
Provide operational support for research projects through the accurate operation, adjustment and calibration of plant and equipment including fertilizer, planting, harvesting, tilt tray trucks, chemical equipment, tillage equipment, including modifying/manufacturing of specialist research equipment within safety and legal boundaries.
- Work independently and with other staff, following instructions from supervisor and/or Facility Manager to successfully complete tasks to support research projects.
- Work in a safe environment following Occupational Health and Safety guidelines and the Departments Code of Conduct.
- Demonstrate initiative and responsibility by completing allocated tasks and activities to a high standard.
- Establish, enhance and maintain relationships to foster good working relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Contribute to scientific integrity of RD&E; projects and activities by rigid adherence to scientific protocols and quality assurance principles.
