A day in the life...
We have an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to manage our retail Impulse customers in Sunshine Coast, Hervey Bay, Bundaberg and surrounding areas.
Succession Planning is one of the ways we support and develop our people. We are considering activating our succession plan for this role and we are asking for any expressions of interest.
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Manager to join our dynamic sales team. As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing merchandisers, driving sales growth and expanding our customer base within your assigned territory through winning in-store and executing a commercial plan.
Excitement through building strong customer relationships, cutting in new lines, driving distribution, trade standards and display building whilst managing a team are the key drivers for the role.
Responsibilities
Being a team player and working amongst a driven team
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and objectives within the assigned territory.
Build strong customer relationships within the Impulse and Convenience channel.
Conduct face-to-face meetings with stand-alone and multi-site customers to understand their needs, present product offerings, and negotiate sales agreements.
Collaborate with wholesalers & internal customer teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Manage casual merchandisers within your territory.
Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business growth.
Execution: Cutting in new lines, driving distribution, trade standards and display building.
Delivering to cycle priority key performance indicators.
Regional Travel Requirements
The Territory Sales Manager role requires consistent monthly travel within your defined territory.
Travel will include approximately 2 to 4 nights away from home per month.
You will be expected to plan and manage your travel schedule efficiently to maximise productivity and meet sales targets.
Attending industry conferences and participating in sales meetings to build relationships and understand how the customer works.
What you will bring
Sales and/or FMCG experience preferred – Impulse channel and/or Supermarkets including store or department management in major retailers.
Basic Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and PowerBi skills.
Outgoing, approachable and passionate about sales, managing the territory as if it's your own business across Impulse and Convenience customers.
Confident communicator who can adapt communication style.
Able to travel and stay away from home every 4 weeks for 2 to 4 nights each trip.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build rapport.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage and plan time effectively.
Valid full driver's license.
Willingness to be on the road Monday-Friday within the assigned territory.
