Senior Agronomy Account Manager Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Agronomy Account Manager to join our team in Mount Gambier, SA. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of agronomic practices and be able to provide technical support to farmers and producers.
Mount Gambier is a major agricultural region in southeastern South Australia, supporting sustainable agriculture through diverse crops including wheat, barley, potatoes, oats, and canola.
About the Opportunity
* Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will provide agronomic and technical support to farmers and producers, gaining exposure to broadacre cropping and working with a high-performing team.
* Responsibility for increasing productivity, profitability, and sustainability of farming enterprises will also be yours to take on.
* Building long-term client relationships and sharing technical information to improve performance and sustainability will be key aspects of this role.
* Maintaining existing customers and targeting new clients through superior sales and agronomic input will require your excellent communication and negotiation skills.
About You
* A strong technical knowledge in agronomic practices and applications is essential for success in this role.
* Demonstrated experience building successful partnerships and delivering agronomic advice is also necessary.
* A history of success in executing sales outcomes using specialist knowledge of fertilizers, seeds, and chemicals is required.
* Excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills will enable you to maintain existing customers and target new ones.
* Tertiary qualification in agricultural science or related field and current driver's license are must-haves for this role.
