The company is based in Sydney, NSW and is conducting a search for a dedicated and skilled Electrician (General). Current Opening: This opportunity is a full-time position (38 hours per week). Position Responsibilities and Tasks Install electrical wiring, circuits, switchboards, outlets and lighting systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings in accordance with electrical standards and regulations. Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair. Test electrical installations and circuits using appropriate testing devices to ensure safety, functionality and compliance with regulatory standards. Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs or replacement of defective wiring, fixtures and electrical components. Assemble, install and maintain electrical control systems, motor controls and distribution boards. Connect electrical systems to power supplies and ensure correct operation of circuit breakers, safety switches and protective devices. Interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical specifications to determine installation procedures and material requirements. Install conduits, cable trays and protective systems to support and protect electrical wiring and equipment. Conduct routine maintenance of electrical systems to ensure continued reliability and operational safety. Ensure all electrical work complies with workplace safety requirements, electrical codes and Australian Standards. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant electrical qualification such as a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent trade qualification. A minimum of two years of relevant experience working in a similar electrician role within commercial, industrial, or residential environments. Proficiency in electrical installation, maintenance and fault finding, with strong attention to detail to ensure safe and accurate electrical work. Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve electrical faults in wiring systems, switchboards, motors and electrical equipment. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, circuit diagrams and technical specifications to plan and carry out electrical installations effectively. Experience installing and maintaining electrical distribution systems, control panels, circuit protection devices and electrical equipment. Sound knowledge of electrical safety procedures, regulations and Australian Standards to ensure compliance and safe work practices. Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with supervisors, contractors and other tradespeople during electrical projects. Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $90,600 - $95,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
