Our organisation is seeking a skilled Direct Services Support Officer to join our team. The role of the Direct Services Support Officer is a vital part of delivering high-quality services and supporting clients with an intellectual disability and their families.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-call and rostering support to Accommodation Support and Respite Services, ensuring staff practices comply with legislative requirements and standards, and managing shift coverage and fulfilling roster-related duties.
In addition, the Direct Services Support Officer will respond to emerging situations, including supporting residential care staff and responding to critical incidents, liaise professionally with staff, families, agencies, and the community, monitor services and ensure compliance with policies and best practices, and participate in support planning and contribute to projects, record keeping, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support direct support staff in providing accommodation support and respite services.
* Provide direct support to individual clients receiving services from Accommodation Support and Respite Services.
* Ensure staff practices comply with legislative requirements and standards.
* Manage shift coverage and fulfill roster-related duties.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Respond to emerging situations, including supporting residential care staff and responding to critical incidents.
* Liaise professionally with staff, families, agencies, and the community.
