Transition Support Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Transition Support Specialist to join our team in providing critical support services to prisoners transitioning into, through, and out of the correctional system. This role will play a pivotal part in facilitating prisoner transition through pre-release, post-release, and transitional programs.
Job Description
* The Transition Support Specialist will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to provide essential support services for prisoners' successful reintegration into society.
* This position focuses on enhancing community safety by implementing an Integrated Risk Assessment and Management Framework for the parole system.
To achieve this goal, the successful candidate will coordinate relevant programs, liaise with external service providers, ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to parole applications and transitional services.
Required Skills & Qualifications
1. Tertiary qualification in human services or related field is required; experience working with hard-to-engage clients would be advantageous.
The ability to negotiate effectively helps foster positive relationships between staff members, prisoners, prosecutors etc..
