About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated individual to join the Emergency Department as the Administration Manager.
The Emergency Department at Canberra Hospital provides critical care to over 90,000 patients each year and operates within a fast paced, high volume clinical environment. The Emergency Department Administration Manager plays a key role in supporting the delivery of safe, efficient, and person-centred care by ensuring the effective functioning of administrative services that support medical, nursing, and allied health teams.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, Emergency Department, the Administration Manager is responsible for the leadership and coordination of administrative staff across a 24/7 service. Under limited direction, the role oversees workforce management, financial and administrative functions, performance monitoring, and access and quality improvement activities. As a member of the Emergency Department's multidisciplinary leadership team, the Administration Manager works collaboratively with clinical and operational leaders to meet key performance targets, support service priorities, and ensure administrative practices align with organisational objectives and Division of Medicine priorities.
The role is supported through collaboration with the broader network of Administration Managers across the Division of Medicine and contributes to consistent, high quality administrative service delivery across the organisation.
