RTO Manager
* Full-time permanent role based at our Argenton or Woonona Stations
* Lead an award-winning RTO and help shape the future of training in the NSW coal sector
We are seeking an experienced and proactive RTO Manager to lead the Mines Rescue Registered Training Organisation (RTO) function, ensuring compliance, quality learning outcomes, and continuous improvement across our training programs. This role is critical to maintaining our ASQA accreditation and reputation within the mining industry.
About the role:
Reporting to the State Operations Manager, you will oversee the delivery of nationally accredited training, manage compliance requirements, and drive strategic initiatives that support Coal Services' objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading and supporting the RTO team to deliver high-quality training outcomes
* Developing and implementing systems for continuous improvement of training delivery
* Managing enrolments and documentation for government-funded training schemes
* Ensuring compliance with RTO reporting requirements (QIR, AVETMISS, APL)
* Overseeing the RTO audit schedule and maintaining accreditation standards
* Driving business development activities in collaboration with Station Managers and Training Advisors to expand scope and identify growth opportunities
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A relevant tertiary qualification (minimum TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment) or equivalent
* At least 5 years' experience in an RTO environment
* Proven leadership experience with the ability to foster collaboration
* Strong knowledge of the VET sector, adult learning principles, and compliance requirements
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Current NSW driver's licence and ability to travel to regional Mines Rescue Stations
