Job Title: Artistic Educator
This is a dynamic opportunity for a dedicated and passionate educator to join our school community as an Artistic Educator. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching Creative Arts, Music, Dance, and Drama to students.
* Key Responsibilities:
* To create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L).
* To plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across all Key Learning Areas.
* To apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
* To implement effective teaching strategies in Literacy and Numeracy.
* To use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
* To demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.
Requirements:
* Essential Selection Criteria:
* Demonstrating a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of our educational institution.
* Creating and maintaining an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment.
* Planning for and implementing effective teaching and learning across all Key Learning Areas.
* Applying knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
* Implementing effective teaching strategies in Literacy and Numeracy.
* Using a range of assessment strategies and analysing data to inform student learning.
* Demonstrating commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.
Desirable Selection Criteria:
* Experience in delivering Creative Arts syllabus including Visual Arts, Music, Dance and Drama.
* Willingness to work with a school choir and/or dance group.
Qualifications:
* Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K–6 are required.
* Accreditation with NESA to teach in NSW is also required.
* A Working With Children Check clearance is mandatory.
