About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Contracts & Collections Specialist to join a leading Construction business in Mascot. This role supports the Construction portfolio and involves managing collections, progress claims, and contract documentation. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in either collections or contract administration within the construction industry and have a strong understanding of industry-specific processes such as progress claims, retentions, and bank guarantees (BGs). This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and growing team, starting off as a 4-6 month contract with the view to potentially transition to a permanent role. Key Responsibilities Oversee collections activities for construction-related projects Administer and track progress claims, retentions, and bank guarantees Liaise with internal stakeholders to manage new business onboarding and ensure documentation compliance Ensure accurate and timely recordkeeping of contracts and claims Support the transition to a more centralised construction collections process Utilise Excel for reporting and reconciliation tasks Assist with general contract administration as required Key Requirements Experience in the construction industry essential – either in contract administration, project, claims or collections Sound knowledge of progress claims, retentions, and bank guarantees Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel Exposure to SAP preferred but not essential Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Working Environment & Culture Office-based initially (Mascot), with flexibility for WFH (2 days) once permanent Supportive and dynamic team environment Opportunity to work with a market leader in the infrastructure space Onsite parking available Why You’ll Love This Role Immediate start – hit the ground running Potential to transition into a permanent position Gain exposure to complex and exciting construction projects Be part of a team committed to process improvement and centralisation
