Our busy specialist dental practice requires an enthusiastic trainee dental assistant to join us. This is a junior role for 2-4 days per week initially (must be available between Tuesday-Fridays). Experience is not essential as we can provide comprehensive on-the-job training. The opportunity is for someone looking to start a career in the dental industry and looking to ultimately undertake certificate III training in dental assisting.
**About the role**
You will work with our orthodontists, dental specialists and oral health therapists and be a part of our dynamic and friendly team. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Efficient scheduling and diary management for our doctors
- Providing chairside assistance to orthodontists and therapists while learning to assist in the clinic.
- Professionalism at all times when interacting with our clients
- Managing the flow of our wonderful clients with our practices
- Adhering to strict infection control guidelines and protocols
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Building and maintaining relationships with patients and their families.
- Record keeping, patient co-ordination and administrative work.

You will ideally possess:
- A vibrant, outgoing and positive personality who is capable of working quickly and multitasking.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and outgoing nature.
- A mature mindset, ability to take initiative and to complete tasks autonomously once trained.
- A firm grasp of both written and verbal communication.
- Have successfully completed the HSC.
- The desire to work hard and as part of a team.
