Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide essential healthcare services to the LGBTQIA community in Minchinbury, NSW. This temporary part-time role is crucial in delivering inclusive and compassionate care, ensuring that all individuals feel respected and supported in their health journeys. The NP will play a vital role in promoting health equity and addressing the unique needs of the community. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualised care plans for patients. Provide primary healthcare services, including diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions. Offer health education and counselling to patients and their families, focusing on LGBTQIA specific health issues. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and support for patients. Advocate for the health needs of the LGBTQIA community within the healthcare system. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Participate in community outreach programs to promote health awareness and access to services. Qualifications: Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate in Australia. Postgraduate qualification in Nurse Practitioner or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on LGBTQIA health. Strong understanding of the health disparities faced by the LGBTQIA community. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
