APG Workforce is currently seeking Maintenance Fitters based in Hanwood, Griffith to join Baiada, a large and well-established company within the poultry industry.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role suits trade-qualified, self-motivated individuals who can diagnose and rectify mechanical issues efficiently and professionally. You will be responsible for the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of plant machinery and equipment to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Day-to-day operation and maintenance of the plant
* Carrying out general maintenance and repairs in line with the preventative maintenance program
* Attending to breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner
* Performing maintenance activities in accordance with WHS and QA requirements
* Installation and fabrication of machinery and equipment
* Implementing and maintaining long-term preventative maintenance strategies
* Working both independently and as part of a team
Requirements
* Trade-qualified Fitter
* Experience in industrial maintenance, ideally within a GMP/HACCP environment
* Sound knowledge of HACCP and food manufacturing regulations
* Strong fault-finding, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organisational skills with a focus on reducing breakdowns
* Ability to perform under pressure with sound judgment
* Commitment to safe work practices and maintaining a safe work environment
* Current driver's licence and reliable transport
