Remuneration: $186,241 - $229,825 p.a. + $5 - $10K NSW Health – Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme (conditions apply – to find out more, visit Western NSW LHD Incentives) / As per VMO Fee for Service Determination

Hours Per Week: 40 hours pw / As per roster

Location: Bathurst, NSW

About the opportunity


Bathurst Health Service is a level 4 referral facility with 100 beds, including a level 4 maternity unit with over 500 births per year and a level 3 special care nursery. The maternity unit uses an integrated care model with multidisciplinary collaboration across O&G specialists, GP obstetricians, midwives, social workers, physiotherapists, sonographers, dietitians, and diabetes educators. The service is expanding, including a new day assessment unit, private consultation areas, and modern birthing suites as part of redevelopment.

The total remuneration package (salary, superannuation, TESL and other allowances) is $365,000 to $400,000.

Bathurst offers a growing regional environment with proximity to Sydney, a range of facilities, and opportunities for professional development, research, and teaching with local universities.


Responsibilities

* Provide obstetrics and gynaecology clinical services within Bathurst Health Service and broader Western NSW Local Health District as required.
* Engage in clinical and academic activities including teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient-centred care.
* Participate in on-call rosters as required.


Qualifications & Selection Criteria

* Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist, and/or overseas trained specialist via the appropriate International Medical Graduate pathway.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
* Be available to participate in an on-call roster and respond on-site within a reasonable time.
* Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (FRANZCOG).
