Position Overview
Sonnex Pty Ltd is seeking a hardworking, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join our team of skilled operators at Elizabeth South, Adelaide SA. This is a full-time position: the successful candidate will be expected to work five days a week and be available for overtime as required. The successful applicant will be made permanent after a 6-month probationary period. All applications will be kept strictly confidential.
Key Responsibilities
Program the required bends for each job.
Load and verify the correct tools for each task.
Bend parts according to technical drawings.
Ensure parts meet specified tolerances.
Maintain the machine and keep all equipment in good working order.
Perform preventative maintenance.
Keep the workstation clean and organised.
Follow job list priorities.
Produce parts to meet required standards.
Report any issues or non-conformances to the Production Co-ordinator.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess experience in operating a Brake Press Machine and have a solid understanding of the sheet metal manufacturing industry. Essential attributes include the ability to multi-task, good computer skills, effective time management to meet deadlines without compromising quality, and a willingness to work overtime as needed. A current forklift licence is required. The candidate should consistently produce high-quality bends and appreciate the importance of quick turnaround times for customers. Physical fitness is necessary, as the role is physically demanding and suited to individuals who enjoy active, on-your-feet work environments.
