Job Title:
Systems Architect and Administrator
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement system architecture for computer systems to ensure efficient operation.
* Maintain, configure, and ensure reliable performance of computer systems.
* Provide technical support for networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.
* Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
* Train end users on the proper use of hardware and software.
* Install and upgrade operating systems and software packages.
* Monitor and optimize systems for optimal performance.
* Ensure data integrity with standard solutions.
* Perform regular backups and database archiving to ensure recoverability.
* Conduct hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
* Ensure systems meet performance and security requirements.
* Evaluate existing systems and assist in long-term planning strategies.
* Provide guidance to less-experienced team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in systems administration and architecture.
* Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
* Ability to work independently in a secure environment.
* Knowledge of system monitoring, tuning, and performance optimization.
* Experience conducting audits to ensure compliance with security guidelines.
* Ability to train end users effectively.
Certifications and Clearances:
* Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 requirements.
* Must possess an active TS/SCI with appropriate Polygraph clearance.
This is a collaborative setting where you will play a critical role in designing, maintaining, and operating computer systems at a secure client site.
