The Role
Prepare and present compelling content for creating stories across multiple platforms that reflect a broad, cross section of the community.
The ABC is looking for a Reporter, Features to step up into a role for 8 months covering parental leave. Gain some valuable experience in a stunning location and engage existing and emerging audiences with original storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
* Find and tell original stories from across the Tropical North region
* Contribute to planning and commissioning processes to develop and distribute new content ideas to achieve strong reach and engagement with audiences.
* Create high quality content that can be shared across nationally.
About You
You'll possess strong content making skills and a proven ability to develop and make original and engaging audio and cross-platform content for the target audience.
You are comfortable with and enjoy working in a small office. You will also be able to demonstrate:
* Excellent interviewing skills
* A natural curiosity and passion to find and tell stories that reflect Australia's diversity and connect with the community.
* Great writing ability and accomplished editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise sound judgement.
You will require a drivers license for this position.
