In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. In Australia, Harmony owns the high‐grade CSA copper mine in Cobar, NSW and is currently preparing to progress the Execution Phase of the Eva Copper Mine Project in QLD. These assets are supported by the Harmony Australasia regional corporate office located in Milton, Brisbane.
About the Role:
Are you passionate about developing talent and ensuring safe, effective training programs? Join our dynamic team as a Training Advisor at CSA Mine in Cobar, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our workforce's future.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct and facilitate training of underground operators and associated personnel, assessing for competence, identifying shortfalls in skillsets, ensuring training is realistic and practical, and maintain competency data to support compliance and continual improvement
* Provide training & mentoring to underground personnel through crew presentations, communications & knowledge sharing
* Maintain accurate records and ensure the integrity of department information, conducting regular reviews to ensure validity (INX InTuition)
* Assist and facilitate incident investigation, liaising with relevant departments and supporting Safety Team
* Always ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory training requirements
Qualifications:
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
* Demonstrated understanding of underground hard‐rock mining with current experience in an underground mining training environment is mandatory
* Strong understanding of NSW mining regulations and general safety procedures
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A can‐do, team‐oriented attitude

* 8/6 FIFO roster (company funded flights and accommodation provided from Brisbane/Sydney), DIDO and residential options available
* Relocation support to Cobar, NSW if required
