An exciting contract opportunity is available for an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in contemporary banking practices and financial technology. This role will support the transition to modern, real-time banking capabilities within a complex government finance environment.
About the Role
You will be responsible for analysing, documenting and mapping business requirements to technical solutions that enable real-time payment functionality and enhance banking service delivery.
This engagement requires strong domain knowledge in banking systems and the ability to work across a multi-faceted finance application suite.
Engagement Details:
* Contract period: 23 February 2026 to 30 June 2026
* Location: Darwin, Northern Territory (onsite required for the full duration)
Key Responsibilities
* Review, investigate and document business requirements to inform system design and solution architecture
* Capture current-state business processes and define future-state improvements within banking service practices
* Analyse and map business requirements to solution functionality across finance systems
* Support change implementation activities and stakeholder engagement
* Deliver comprehensive functional specifications and technical recommendations to enable real-time banking transactions
Essential Criteria
* Demonstrated experience in banking service delivery and real-time payment systems (preferably New Payments Platform – NPP)
* Proven experience designing technical solutions across complex finance environments
* Strong capability in requirements elicitation, business process modelling and solution design
* Highly developed analytical, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to work onsite in Darwin for the full contract duration
Desirable Experience
* Recent experience delivering technical banking service solutions
* Knowledge of government financial frameworks
